Evan Sturgis

Founder & CEO

Evan founded Sturgis Construction on a straightforward premise: do the work right, build relationships that last, and let results speak for themselves. With deep roots in construction operations and project delivery, he leads the firm with a hands-on approach grounded in accountability and craftsmanship. Under his leadership, Sturgis has grown into a trusted partner for developers, owners, and investors who put a premium on reliability and honest communication. Evan sets the tone for how the company operates and the standard every project is held to.

Jordan Sturgis

President & COO

Jordan brings more than 15 years of operational leadership to his role as President and COO, including experience as a Fortune 500 divisional COO. He oversees the systems, teams, and processes that keep Sturgis running at a high level, with a focus on predictability, performance, and scalable growth. Jordan has a track record of building strong organizations and developing the kind of teams clients and trade partners want to work with. His approach ties operational discipline directly to project outcomes and long-term relationships.

Matt Oudekerk

Chief Financial Officer

Matt spent years in field operations and project management before moving into finance, and that path shapes everything about how he sees the CFO role. That hands-on background drives how he thinks about budgeting, forecasting, and cost management always in direct connection to how work actually gets built. Matt works closely with project teams to align financial decisions with real-world execution, supporting strong project performance and sustainable company growth. He brings a builder’s mindset to the numbers.

Jonathan Tessin

Vice President of Preconstruction

Jonathan leads estimating, planning, and early-stage project strategy across a portfolio that includes commercial, hospitality, senior living, and multifamily developments. He works closely with clients, design teams, and trade partners to align scope, budget, and constructability before construction begins. That early coordination is where risk gets reduced and better project outcomes take shape. Jonathan’s collaborative approach and attention to detail give projects a stronger foundation and clients greater confidence heading into the field.

Wes Stewart

Director of Construction

Wes brings more than 20 years of commercial construction experience and over $1 billion in completed project value to his role as Director of Construction. His experience spans multiple market sectors and delivery methods, giving him a strong command of complex, large-scale project execution. Wes takes a solutions-oriented approach to scheduling, logistics, and team coordination, working closely with project teams and trade partners to maintain momentum and keep projects on track. He is known for steady leadership, a commitment to quality, and consistently delivering results that meet client expectations.
